Rare intra orbital tumour operated via supra orbital approach


A 50 year old man presented in our opd with complaints of proptosis and progressive visual loss. MRI of orbit revealed intraconal well circumscribed mass on right side . He was operated successfully via supra orbital craniotomy with complete removal of tumour and vision was preserved.

LARGE TEMPORAL MASS OPERATED AT IVY HOSPITAL.

A 56 YEAR OLD LADY PRESENTED IN OUR EMERGENCY  WITH  ALTERED SENSORIUM , HEADACHE , VOMITINGS FOR PAST FEW DAYS. MRI REVEALED LARGE TEMPORAL MASS. PATIENT UNDERWENT SUCCESSFUL TUMOR REMOVAL WITHOUT ANY DEFICIT.

LARGE PITUTARY TUMOUR REMOVED VIA TRANS SPHENOIDAL ROUTE

DONT IGNORE VISUAL LOSS IT MAY BE FIRST SIGN OF PITUTARY TUMOUR

A sixty year old female present to us in OPD with gradually progressive visual loss for past 6 months for which she was prescribed glasses.  But for past one week  she had developed complete visual loss in one eye and only perception of light in other. MRI revealed a large Pitutary tumour compressing the chiasma . Tumour was removed via trans sphenoidal route and vision of the patient was restored

A 35 year old female with new onset diabetes not controlled by oralhypoglycaemics presented to our endocrinologist . On clinical examination she was found to be having features of Acromegaly. and bitemporal heminopia.
 MRI of sella revealed large pitutary macro adenoma with suprasellar extension compressing optic chiasma.. Hormonal profile revealed increased GH levels >100ng/mi and incresed TSH levels . She was put on Eltroxin 50micrograms/ day and optimized and was taken up for tumour decomporession.
